Marcela Parodi is an independent educational consultant for Buenos Aires, Argentina. With over twenty years experience in the education field. She has been Principal/Headmistress at Marin School, North Hills School and Wellspring School in Buenos Aires. Coordinated ESL students, business studies programs for the University of North Florida – Buenos Aires branch, prepared High School students to sit for International Exams, G-Telp examiner and invigilator.  Marcela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education Administration and is TESL/TEFL certified.  She speaks fluent Spanish.

CANADA

Toronto

Linda Hodgson is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and Independent Educational Consultant in Toronto. Linda has worked for several years as an Educational Consultant with School Choice International in New York. She has a background counseling families with special needs children. Linda has a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto. She has lived across Canada in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver and has also relocated with her family to New York, Silicon Valley and London. Linda understands both personally and professionally the issues and challenges of expatriate life.

Orietta Bon is an educational consultant for the Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She has over 30 yrs. experience at the elementary and high school panels as a teacher and administrator in the York Catholic District School Board. Other experiences include teaching English in Italy at the Cultural Institute of Europe, and at Daemen College in Lewiston, New York in the Teacher Education Program.  Orietta holds a Bachelor of Arts from York University, Toronto, Canada and a Master’s Degree from Niagara University Lewiston, New York. Originally from Italy, Orietta speaks fluent Italian; she moved to Canada when she was a young girl and is aware of the anxieties associated with relocating.

Santiago

Maria Eugenia Rivera is an independent educational consultant in Santiago Chile.  Meni is passionate about education and psychology and has 7 years of experience as a teacher and academic coordinator, working with children with diverse needs.  She has a B.A. in Elementary Education and just completed her M.A. in Developmental Psychology, Gifted Education in Columbia University.  While living in New York City, she worked at the Teachers College Science Summer Camp and volunteered at The School at Columbia.  Back in Santiago, she also currently works for a non-profit organization creating a science curriculum for schools in the south of Chile.  She speaks fluent Spanish.

COSTA RICA

Patrick Miller is an Independent Educational Consultant for School Choice International in Costa Rica. He has worked in the international education setting in Costa Rica for six years in the role of Middle School Teacher, High School Teacher, Middle School Coordinator, Curriculum Coordinator, and Secondary School Principal. Patrick has a B.A. degree in International Studies, a Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) in International Education, an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership, and is currently working on his MBA in International Business and Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Patrick has travelled extensively throughout Latin America for work and pleasure and is fluent in Spanish as well as his native language, English.

MEXICO

Agustina Tocalli-Beller is an Independent Educational Consultant for Mexico. Agustina holds a Ph.D. in Second Language Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, where she worked, researched and published on educational matters, specifically bilingual education. A language teacher and teacher trainer for many years, she has presented at international conferences and created pedagogical material for learners and teachers, particularly on vocabulary development and CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning). Agustina is also the author for books and songs for children and has been an expatriate mother of 4 since 2006. Originally from Argentina, she has also lived in Canada and Peru.

Patricia Fernández-Bitar is an independent educational consultant for Mexico City.  She has worked in education teaching English to adults and tutoring children from international schools, while receiving a Masters of Arts in Education Teaching from Alliant University.  She has been an expatriate since 2003 having lived in Brazil for 18 months, and Mexico for 8 years working as an educator, a volunteer in literacy programs and an entrepreneur. Originally form Argentina, she has an undergraduate degree in Architecture having worked 7 years in Washington DC.  Patricia is fluent in Spanish and has a basic knowledge of Portuguese.
